A trip of a lifetime. A thoughtfully curated trip that included everything that we needed to make this a memorable 10 days. From Buntu(sp) and his smiling face waiting for us at the airport when we arrived, to walking into what I would consider a magnificent 5-star hotel, to the opening night dinner and every activity and dinner planned every day and night after that , I could not ask for a better trip. We had fun, laughter, history lessons, tears (the good kind)some ratchet and lots of respectable. We met new people, made lifelong friends and immersed ourselves into all things Cape Town. Maureen, Siviwe, Brian, Dromoni(sp), Davida and Demetria all took the time to make sure we left full from this experience and I can honestly say I am happily full and appreciative. If you are on the fence on if you should schedule a trip with KLA and Demetria See Some World(shh quiet 🤫, lol) do it. You won’t regret it. This was the best trip of my life. The Moroccan people, art, and music were wonderful. Marrakech was a fascinating place to explore. The excursions were top notch and we were exposed to the local culture at every turn. I enjoyed spending time with the other like minded travelers. The food was amazing. I just returned from ten magical days in Marrakesh, Morocco, for the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, and it truly felt like stepping into a whole new world. From the vibrant art and historic landmarks to the colorful souks, beautiful views, and friendly people, the culture was immersive and unforgettable—like an Aladdin dream brought to life, especially the hot air balloon ride and camel ride in the desert. Every day felt magical. KLA did an outstanding job organizing every detail; from shopping, dinner, night life, hotel accommodations, transportation, and even relaxation at the hammam. The trip was seamless, thoughtfully curated, and designed to ensure we got a proper taste of Moroccan culture. Surrounded by inspiring, beautiful women and immersed in culture, creativity, and connection, the entire trip was unforgettable. KLA and Demetria never disappoints.

Morocco was not a trip. It was a masterclass in cultural immersion. This was my third journey with this team, and once again, they delivered something far beyond a typical travel experience. We weren’t just observing Morocco; we were experiencing it with context and depth. What made this journey exceptional was the intentional exposure to African art and contemporary culture. Visiting the gallery at La Mamounia and engaging with the work & artists showcased through Montresso Art Foundation during 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair was a cultural highlight. The unplanned pivot to Montresso, where we met artist Fahamu Pecou, was a perfect example of hosts who truly have their finger on the pulse. That moment alone elevated the entire trip. This wasn’t a canned itinerary. It was curated specifically for us, our tastes, our pace, our curiosity. There was a thoughtful balance between structured experiences and free time to wander, discover, and breathe. And the adventures? Unforgettable. From floating over Marrakech at sunrise in a hot air balloon, to camel rides through the desert, to a sunset dinner framed by fire dancers under an endless Moroccan sky, every moment felt cinematic yet deeply grounded in place. Most of all, our hosts were gracious, thoughtful, and intentional. They anticipated needs, adapted seamlessly, and created space for both connection and discovery. That balance is rare.
